Our Adoption Process
If you are interested in adopting a Labradoodle or Goldendoodle through our program you will be required to submit an on-line adoption application. Please read About Rescue Dogs information before you spend the time completing an application.
On-Line Adoption Application Tips, Requests and Information:
Fee Structure: IDOG RRR has a fee structure for our adopted dogs. The cost of the dog will be determined on an individual basis, we factor in age, size, medical needs, etc. We will require that the fee be paid (via Paypal on line) prior to or when we transfer the dog over to the new family. This fee covers the expenses related to the care of the dogs in our program.
Check Your Spam Folder: and also fix your e-mail setting to allow for "Rescue" and "Forms" to be accepted. Doing this will prevent you from missing important e-mails regarding rescues.
Match Right Dog With Right Family: Each dog is very much an individual. We try to match dogs with families that best suit the dogs needs and the families desires. Seeing a dog in a photo is a great start to finding the right dog for your family, but please remember that our rescue coordinators have the very best understanding as to what type of family and home environment will be suitable for the individual dogs. It is not so much your ability to provide a good loving home, but its recognizing that there are some dogs that do well in some type of homes and others dog well in other types of home.
Dont Pigeon Hole Preferences: Sometimes people get distracted with what a dog looks like and often forget that there is a personality under all that fur. The dog that may very well be the best darn dog you ever had may be the opposite sex of the one you imagined. The best darn dog you ever had may be black or has a scruffy coat. We strongly suggest that you consider all types of doodles which then can reduce your wait time and you may end up with a dog that is your best friend for life and he/she does not look anything like the dog you saw in your dreams.
Locations Impact Placement: Because we are an organization that operates throughout the United States, we are very limited in being able to move a dog from one state to another to be adopted. Thus, you have an interest in a dog in another area, we may not be able to accommodate that request or we may need to have you work with us to help transport the dog.
Application Removal: If you have an application on file and you end up getting a dog from somewhere else, or you decide that the timing isn’t right - please contact us and let us know to remove your application from our active files. This will help us greatly in managing the applications and also saves us in time giving you a call if we have a match. Please send us a note to Rescue@IDOG.Biz.

The International Doodle Owners Group, Inc. (IDOG) is a worldwide not-for-profit 501(c)(3) group, dedicated to educating the public on the subject of Labradoodles and Goldendoodles. IDOG encourages responsible ownership and responsible breeding practices. We provide support and resources to help Labradoodle and Goldendoodle owners and doodles in need. We work with shelters to assist in communications, lending our network of resources to help locate quality forever homes for Labradoodles and Goldendoodles.
